The Innovation MINDSET Alliance
Pioneering Change: Accelerating Success for HBCUs and MSIs
The Innovation MINDSET Alliance is a registered nonprofit that can access technology, grants, and partnerships to support research, innovation, and commercialization. HUBs will operate with individual chapters (HUBs) across the country. Deployment models will include an overlay option for institutions with existing innovation / entrepreneurship centers, modernization projects where existing centers require more transformative updates, and the development of new centers.
Innovation Alliance partners will include local, regional, and national organizations committed to advancing the Capacity, Capability, and Accountability of research & commercialization, including corporations and Federal agencies. Marketing will address activation and engagement strategies across students, faculty, institutions, and communities, including structured learning tracks aligned to the digital skill levels of the program participants.
The Innovation MINDSET HUBs will align across the nation using virtual platforms and in-person programs to share resources and best practices, while also driving their own regionally specific programs along industry and partner requirements. HUBs will also support year-round programs that include the matching of HBCUs with minority business enterprises (MBEs), on-campus hackathons to identify qualified student candidates, and summer business startup boot camps that connect students with the technologies.
